Franck Ribéry ends transfer talk with five-year Bayern Munich deal

Franck Ribery has signed a five-year contract with Bayern Munich. The France international has ended speculation about his future by signing a deal which commits him to the Bundesliga winners until June 2015.

Ribéry had been linked with moves to Manchester United, Chelsea and Real Madrid. "We are very pleased that one of the best players in the world has agreed to a contract extension," said the Bayern chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge. "This is also a sign of the great objectives of FC Bayern in the coming years."

The news will come as a boost to fans of the Bavarian club, who saw their team suffer a 2-0 defeat against Internazionale in the European Cup final last night.Ribéry missed the game at the Bernabéu after his sending-off in the semi-final first leg against Lyon....
